Information technology in Indonesia

Jakarta: Indonesia must it was thought straighten out technological education, including information technology, since early to change from the agricultural nation to the based country the industry.

Wahidin Wahab, President Robot the Olympics Committee Indonesia (ROCI), said Indonesia was left five to 10 years in the technological field from our neighbouring country like Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam.

"When our neighbouring country was competing to level itself to the country that had the technological capacity that was competent like Japan, Indonesia precisely still in the beginning stage in developing this technology," he said in the seminar made Robot find it easy in implementation gaps of the exhibition of the Bazaar clouds computer in JCC Jakarta, last week.

According to him, the technological gap became one of the factors why most Indonesian communities experienced technological retardation. The command or access to technology only was obtained by a small number of people who had the fund and the adequate cost. That caused technological knowledge to be not equitable.

A Riza Wahono from Creative foundation said the lesson that was based on technology must be made pleasant and caused curiosity from the student. The studying concept must be changed in a playing manner while studying, with that the student will more be attracted by the world of technology.

Get Yourself Started In Blogging

As of September 2007, more than 106 million blogs have been tracked which makes one wonder just what blogging is.Blogging is that wonderful world where you can write your personal thoughts about what you think on any subject imaginable, whether good or bad, with or without anonymity, although in reality anonymity really doesn’t exist when it come to the Internet. Your website, your email has an ISP address which is easily traceable to any given computer.

In general, blogs are articles you write and post on the web for the entire world to see. Your blog puts you, your thoughts in the forefront, which lets others see your brilliance or idiocy. You can have your own website dedicated to your thoughts, or you can respond to a particular article that has been written which allows you to voice your opinion about the subject or article, although use tact when responding. Most news media allowing you respond to a written article requires you to provide a valid email address in order for you to make a comment.

Most subscribers to the Internet post there blogs on personal web pages or websites their ISP provides. Other bloggers post their comments on the multitude of websites available for posting their thoughts, usually indexed by subject. To find a blog site, simply type “blog/s” in any search engine and behold you will find thousands of blog sites you can read or post.

Methods for blogging vary which you should consider before doing any posting. Blogging in response to a particular article, as well as posting on dedicated blog sites are permanent blogs, in that they can not be changed once posted. With that in mind, you really need to think about what you want to say before posting your thoughts. It’s somewhat like making a comment, once spoken it can’t be undone.

The other side of posting on an open blog site is the libel issue. At present, blog sites are not libel for what you say, so use caution when blogging.

The other method of blogging is to have your own website or page where you write your own blog. Using this method, you can edit your blog, write about another subject or simply delete the blog entirely. This method in my opinion is perhaps the safest method of blogging, but there is a caveat to this method. When you write something on your computer using a word processor and save the document, even if you delete the article, or document, it still resides on your computer and unless you completely reformat or destroy the hard drive, it remains on you computer forever. If someone wants to prove you wrote the article, with the proper software they can retrieve it.

You may wonder if blogging is without peril. That depends. If you are blogging about your Aunt Tilly’s super fruit cake recipe, you’re safe, but if you’re blogging about a politician, an organization, the government, religious leaders, a company, an individual, you need to be careful about what you have to say, as you just might be libel. Presently, in the US, the courts are undecided about blogging, weighing in on the free speech side of the argument, however; individuals have been imprisoned and/or fined for their blogs.

To be safe when blogging, it’s important to use the correct adjectives, or follow the method the news media use when writing an article. Words like; alleged, subject to, suspected of, and the like may keep you out of trouble. Although, innuendos you make can been seen as an attack, an accusation, by some very sensitive people and they just might decide to take action against you.

Even when using safe words, that doesn’t mean you’re not going to suffer the consequences for your big mouth. Many states have what is known as; “The Right To Work Law,” which simply means employers can fire an employee for any reason, or for no reason. Individuals have been fired from their jobs for posting blogs about their company.

Many blogs are instructional in nature from how to grow a tree, wash a cat to building an explosive device. Here again you need to be careful. Those blogs about explosive devices just might cause a visit from a federal agency. Unfortunate as it is, when it comes to blogging, “Big Brother Is Watching!”

How is PageRank calculated?

To calculate the PageRank for a page, all of its inbound links are taken into account. These are links from within the site and links from outside the site.

PR(A) = (1-d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + ... + PR(tn)/C(tn))

That's the equation that calculates a page's PageRank. It's the original one that was published when PageRank was being developed, and it is probable that Google uses a variation of it but they aren't telling us what it is. It doesn't matter though, as this equation is good enough.

In the equation 't1 - tn' are pages linking to page A, 'C' is the number of outbound links that a page has and 'd' is a damping factor, usually set to 0.85.

We can think of it in a simpler way:-

a page's PageRank = 0.15 + 0.85 * (a "share" of the PageRank of every page that links to it)

"share" = the linking page's PageRank divided by the number of outbound links on the page.

A page "votes" an amount of PageRank onto each page that it links to. The amount of PageRank that it has to vote with is a little less than its own PageRank value (its own value * 0.85). This value is shared equally between all the pages that it links to.

From this, we could conclude that a link from a page with PR4 and 5 outbound links is worth more than a link from a page with PR8 and 100 outbound links. The PageRank of a page that links to yours is important but the number of links on that page is also important. The more links there are on a page, the less PageRank value your page will receive from it.

If the PageRank value differences between PR1, PR2,.....PR10 were equal then that conclusion would hold up, but many people believe that the values between PR1 and PR10 (the maximum) are set on a logarithmic scale, and there is very good reason for believing it. Nobody outside Google knows for sure one way or the other, but the chances are high that the scale is logarithmic, or similar. If so, it means that it takes a lot more additional PageRank for a page to move up to the next PageRank level that it did to move up from the previous PageRank level. The result is that it reverses the previous conclusion, so that a link from a PR8 page that has lots of outbound links is worth more than a link from a PR4 page that has only a few outbound links.

Whichever scale Google uses, we can be sure of one thing. A link from another site increases our site's PageRank. Just remember to avoid links from link farms.

Note that when a page votes its PageRank value to other pages, its own PageRank is not reduced by the value that it is voting. The page doing the voting doesn't give away its PageRank and end up with nothing. It isn't a transfer of PageRank. It is simply a vote according to the page's PageRank value. It's like a shareholders meeting where each shareholder votes according to the number of shares held, but the shares themselves aren't given away. Even so, pages do lose some PageRank indirectly, as we'll see later.

Ok so far? Good. Now we'll look at how the calculations are actually done.

For a page's calculation, its existing PageRank (if it has any) is abandoned completely and a fresh calculation is done where the page relies solely on the PageRank "voted" for it by its current inbound links, which may have changed since the last time the page's PageRank was calculated.

The equation shows clearly how a page's PageRank is arrived at. But what isn't immediately obvious is that it can't work if the calculation is done just once. Suppose we have 2 pages, A and B, which link to each other, and neither have any other links of any kind. This is what happens:-

Step 1: Calculate page A's PageRank from the value of its inbound links

Page A now has a new PageRank value. The calculation used the value of the inbound link from page B. But page B has an inbound link (from page A) and its new PageRank value hasn't been worked out yet, so page A's new PageRank value is based on inaccurate data and can't be accurate.

Step 2: Calculate page B's PageRank from the value of its inbound links

Page B now has a new PageRank value, but it can't be accurate because the calculation used the new PageRank value of the inbound link from page A, which is inaccurate.

It's a Catch 22 situation. We can't work out A's PageRank until we know B's PageRank, and we can't work out B's PageRank until we know A's PageRank.

Now that both pages have newly calculated PageRank values, can't we just run the calculations again to arrive at accurate values? No. We can run the calculations again using the new values and the results will be more accurate, but we will always be using inaccurate values for the calculations, so the results will always be inaccurate.

The problem is overcome by repeating the calculations many times. Each time produces slightly more accurate values. In fact, total accuracy can never be achieved because the calculations are always based on inaccurate values. 40 to 50 iterations are sufficient to reach a point where any further iterations wouldn't produce enough of a change to the values to matter. This is precisiely what Google does at each update, and it's the reason why the updates take so long.

One thing to bear in mind is that the results we get from the calculations are proportions. The figures must then be set against a scale (known only to Google) to arrive at each page's actual PageRank. Even so, we can use the calculations to channel the PageRank within a site around its pages so that certain pages receive a higher proportion of it than others.

NOTE:
You may come across explanations of PageRank where the same equation is stated but the result of each iteration of the calculation is added to the page's existing PageRank. The new value (result + existing PageRank) is then used when sharing PageRank with other pages. These explanations are wrong for the following reasons:-

1. They quote the same, published equation - but then change it

from PR(A) = (1-d) + d(......) to PR(A) = PR(A) + (1-d) + d(......)

It isn't correct, and it isn't necessary.

2. We will be looking at how to organize links so that certain pages end up with a larger proportion of the PageRank than others. Adding to the page's existing PageRank through the iterations produces different proportions than when the equation is used as published. Since the addition is not a part of the published equation, the results are wrong and the proportioning isn't accurate.

According to the published equation, the page being calculated starts from scratch at each iteration. It relies solely on its inbound links. The 'add to the existing PageRank' idea doesn't do that, so its results are necessarily wrong.

What is PageRank?

PageRank is a numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web. Google figures that when one page links to another page, it is effectively casting a vote for the other page. The more votes that are cast for a page, the more important the page must be. Also, the importance of the page that is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself is. Google calculates a page's importance from the votes cast for it. How important each vote is is taken into account when a page's PageRank is calculated.

PageRank is Google's way of deciding a page's importance. It matters because it is one of the factors that determines a page's ranking in the search results. It isn't the only factor that Google uses to rank pages, but it is an important one.

From here on in, we'll occasionally refer to PageRank as "PR".

Notes:
Not all links are counted by Google. For instance, they filter out links from known link farms. Some links can cause a site to be penalized by Google. They rightly figure that webmasters cannot control which sites link to their sites, but they can control which sites they link out to. For this reason, links into a site cannot harm the site, but links from a site can be harmful if they link to penalized sites. So be careful which sites you link to. If a site has PR0, it is usually a penalty, and it would be unwise to link to it.

New Hope for Domain Parking

by: David Doggett

Domain parking has had a bit of a bad reputation, and rightfully so. Most parked domains are setup with a domain registrar and they are the ones who end up making most of the income from clicks on your parked pages, that is, if your parked page gets any clicks at all. In truth, the domain registrars are likely only interested in making money from your domain name registration.

I have been intrigued with the domain parking concept however was discouraged until recently with the potential of parking my domains. It is true, almost all parked pages are shunned by the major search engines because they lack any quality content and are simply filled with ads. Simple logic told me that if the search engines are not interested at all with parked pages filled with ads, and this means the chances of people finding my parked pages is slim to none.

Thankfully there is new hope for parking domains with rich content parking systems, for example the one I now use, WhyPark (http://cyberflash.whypark.hop.clickbank.net/). These domain parking systems don't just set you up with a page full of ads and forget about you, they provide you with simple tools that let you create rich content websites full of relevant articles that search engines love. This is the most exciting development in domain parking history because it means anyone can create a quality web site containing your own advertisements that you earn all or most of the income from.

This revolution in domain parking opens the doors for anyone interested in creating powerful websites and capitalizing on their income potential.

While it is possible to invest just twenty minutes of your time setting up a domain with one of these rich content parking systems, the more time and effort you invest in promoting your domain, the more traffic your domain will receive in turn increasing your domains earning potential.

Variations Of Software Programs

Consumers are enthralled by the software installed in electronic devices because these programs allow them to be more productive and provide them with a source of entertainment that is suitable for every member of the family. Some electronic devices will not work at all without the software installed, and others work better because the software programs have been added since the device was bought.

People are more familiar with the software programs that run their personal computers, but other digital devices are equipped with software. The operating system software is the controlling force behind all computer operations, This software allows the user to perform independent tasks using word processing software programs, or includes software that will allow the user to complete complex mathematical calculations using formulas in spreadsheet formats.

The operation of this type of software is independent of any other type of custom software that has been installed on the computer. Many computer users must install software that allows them to view videos and graphics. These software programs are easy to download but will require update to be installed from time to time to keep the software program running smoothly.

The software updates are written with scripting software that simplifies updates by creating screens that are presented in an easy to understand language that requires the user to click a few buttons and step back while the software does the rest of the installation on its own. Other software is embedded into the installation program that will notify the computer user that the installation is complete. In most cases, the computer software will require that the user restart the system for the changes to go into effect.

Some customized software programs will be created for businesses to track inventory or provide a certain service to a client or the public at large. Some computer operating systems work on the Windows platform and other software program are open source and can be edited by users who know the coding used in the software programs. These programs can be modified by each user and uploaded to the site where it was obtained so that other users can benefit from the changes that were made.

People prefer to use open source software because it is available for download through internet websites. The open source software is considered freeware and is the product of computer users who have a talent for creating programs that enhance productive tasks found in other software or the software could be scripts that make mundane tasks tolerable and easier to complete. Some programming artists create freeware to establish a web presence and build a business from software popularity.

The software programs installed on electronic devices allow people to connect to the internet and the user will have all the tools and storage space required to download files from a computer at work. The PDA devices contain software that will also allow users to check email and store it for future reference. Some personal digital assistants are equipped with software that allows people to access maps and obtain directions to a desired destination.

Holiday Facial Fitness

by: R. Forrest-Young

It’s the time of year when the weather has changed and you’re busy running around, caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday rush. Along with having parties and making sure things around the home and office are filled with plenty of holiday cheer, you continue with your normal chores of paying bills, helping with homework, attending school functions and household upkeep. You’re probably doing a lot more in the day and getting a lot less sleep at night. Needless to say, this creates a lot of wear and tear on your mind, body and face. Yes, your face!

It’s no secret that added stress and less rest can cause you to feel and look worn out. You may have found that your face is starting to reveal signs of holiday fatigue. Puffiness and dark circles under the eyes, as well as a change in texture and clarity of your skin from lack of adequate rest, cold weather and wind, can put a damper on your seasonal celebrations. You need facial rejuvenation and you need it now!

The fastest, easiest and cheapest way to get back your facial glow or achieve a glow that you never had is by facial stimulation and massage. This technique has worked wonders on countless faces across the globe and was actually part of the beauty regiments of many ancient civilizations. What’s even better is that this is something you yourself can do for free. You don’t have to go to some doctor for surgery or injections nor do you have to go to a massage parlor or salon.

Studies show that stimulating your face with certain patterns of finger tapping and massage improves skins clarity and texture, prevents and reduces wrinkles and breakouts as well as reduces swelling. What you are doing is stimulating and waking up cells that have become dormant beneath the skins layers. This produces a lifting effect and promotes a firm and supple face. You are also unblocking and clearing clogged cells which increases the blood flow and circulation, thus, giving you a glowing and refreshed face in a matter of days. A noticeable improvement is often seen after the first day. Experts have said it restores a lost youthfulness to the face and can even give the appearance of having a facelift.

Facial stimulation and massage should become a part of your daily beauty routine during the holidays and everyday. It’s fast, free and easy, yet it yields great results. Try it and you’ll never have a dull face again.

Inspirasi Hari Ini

Pemilik perusahaan merasa sedih kehilangan salah seorang pekerja terbaiknya.

Tapi, sebenarnya ia merasa terpaksa.
Ia ingin segera berhenti.
Pikirannya tidak sepenuhnya dicurahkan.

Dengan ogah-ogahan ia mengerjakan proyek itu.
Ia cuma menggunakan bahan-bahan sekedarnya.

Akhirnya selesailah rumah yang diminta.
Hasilnya bukanlah sebuah rumah baik.

Bukan orang lain.

" Seorang bijak pernah mengatakan demikian :

Five Key Elements for a Healthy Body

by: Marie Watson

With so many different obstacles in our way today it’s essential to do the things that are necessary to keep our bodies in top condition. Between diseases and pollution in our air and water, we must stay tuned into the needs of our bodies in order to assure a long and healthy life. Making the right choices in these areas will allow us to remain happy and productive many years past retirement.

1. Get plenty of sleep

Being well-rested is one of the most important elements in maintaining a healthy body. Sleep deprivation whether purposely or the result of insomnia can cause your body to become tired, fatigued, and run down. This lends its way to an invasion of many infections because of a compromised immune system. Sleep is the body’s best defence, so you need to make sure you obtain what your body needs. Each person requires on average between six and eight hours of sleep nightly, although some may function on as little as five hours while others need up to ten hours.

2. Exercise regularly

Besides having the ability to boost the metabolism, exercise also helps the body sleep most restfully. Whether you do a complete workout or just take a walk several times during the day, you will feel much better by participating in some kind of exercise. That doesn’t mean you have to do something boring—you can swim, bicycle, play tennis, ski, water ski, or do any other type of activity that you enjoy. The important thing is to make sure you do it regularly.

3. Eat healthy foods

In order to maintain a body that is healthy and active all of your life, you need to learn how to eat foods that are good for you. Certainly that high fat, high calorie burger from the local fast food place tastes good, but it is not good for you. You need to develop the habit of eating lean protein, steamed or raw vegetables, fresh fruits, and carbohydrates containing a low glycemic index such as whole grain cereals, brown rice, and wheat bread and pasta. That doesn’t mean you have to give up sweet desserts and snacks for good, but you need to learn to eat them in moderation.

4. Maintain a normal weight

Having excess weight puts a strain on both the heart and the back. In order to assure that you can stay active and do the things you enjoy, you need to make sure your weight is within normal range. If you are overweight but think you are still healthy, you need to review the things you are able to do compared to some of the things you used to be able to do. Certainly you are older which causes some difference, but your weight definitely has a detrimental effect on the level of activities in which you are able to participate.

5. Make sure you have an adequate supply of essential nutrients

No matter how many healthy foods we eat, it is likely we are not getting all of the nutrients we need. This is especially true of the Omega-3 Fatty Acids that help us maintain the health of our hearts. Although this nutrient is found in fish, few of us can eat enough fish to compensate, so we need to supplement this deficiency with fish oil supplements. The same holds true of many other nutrients such as Calcium, Iron, Folic Acid, and the B vitamins just to name a few.

A healthy lifestyle will help us keep our bodies healthy into our golden years, and following these tips will certainly help you in that process. You don’t need to give up your favourite foods to be healthy, but you do need to make sure you eat unhealthy foods in moderation. You also want to make sure to get enough sleep, exercise regularly, and supplement your diet with important vitamins and minerals.

Mandikan aku Bunda!!

''Why not the best,'' katanya selalu, mengutip seorang mantan presiden Amerika.
Rani termasuk salah satunya. Saya lebih memilih menuntaskan pendidikan kedokteran.
Berikutnya, Rani mendapat pendamping yang ''selevel''; sama-sama berprestasi, meski berbeda profesi.

Alifya, buah cinta mereka, lahir ketika Rani diangkat sebagai staf diplomat, bertepatan dengan tuntasnya suami dia meraih PhD. Lengkaplah kebahagiaan mereka.

Everything is OK!''

''Contohlah ayah-bunda Alif, kalau Alif besar nanti.''
Begitu selalu nenek Alif, ibunya Rani, berpesan di akhir dongeng menjelang tidurnya.

Ketika Alif berusia 3 tahun, Rani bercerita kalau dia minta adik.
anaknya. Kesibukan mereka belum memungkinkan untuk menghadirkan seorang adik buat Alif. Lagi-lagi bocah kecil ini ''memahami'' orang tuanya. Buktinya, kata
Rani, IA tak lagi merengek minta adik. Alif, tampaknya mewarisi karakter ibunya yang bukan perengek. Meski kedua orangtuanya kerap pulang larut, IA jarang sekali
ngambek.
Bahkan, tutur Rani, Alif selalu menyambut kedatangannya dengan penuh ceria. Maka, Rani menyapanya ''malaikat kecilku''.

Sungguh keluarga yang bahagia, pikir saya. Meski kedua orangtuanya super sibuk, Alif tetap tumbuh penuh cinta. Diam-diam, saya iri pada keluarga ini.

Suatu Hari, menjelang Rani berangkat ke kantor, entah mengapa Alif menolak dimandikan baby sitter. ''Alif ingin Bunda mandikan,'' ujarnya penuh harap. Karuan
Ia menampik permintaan Alif sambil tetap gesit berdandan Dan mempersiapkan keperluan kantornya. Suaminya pun turut membujuk Alif agar mau mandi dengan Tante Mien, baby sitter-nya.
Lagi-lagi, Alif dengan pengertian menurut, meski wajahnya cemberut.

Peristiwa ini berulang sampai hampir sepekan. ''Bunda, mandikan aku!'' kian lama suara Alif penuh tekanan.

Sampai suatu sore, saya dikejutkan telponnya Mien, sang baby sitter. ''Bu dokter, Alif demam Dan kejang-kejang. Sekarang di Emergency.'' Setengah terbang, saya ngebut ke UGD. But it was too late. Allah swt sudah punya rencana lain. Alif, si malaikat kecil, keburu dipanggil pulang oleh-Nya.

Rani, ketika diberi tahu soal Alif, sedang meresmikan kantor barunya. Ia shock berat.

Saya diam saja.

Rasanya Rani memang tak perlu hiburan dari orang lain. Suaminya mematung seperti tak bernyawa. Wajahnya pias, tatapannya kosong. ''Ini konsekuensi sebuah pilihan,'' lanjut
Rani, tetap mencoba tegar dan kuat. Hening sejenak.Angin senja meniupkan aroma bunga kamboja.

Tiba-tiba Rani berlutut. ''Aku ibunyaaa!'' serunya histeris, lantas tergugu hebat.

untuknya. Nampaknya ia sudah menunggu cukup lama.

"Kok, belum tidur ?" sapa Andrew sambil mencium anaknya.

Sambil membuntuti sang Papa menuju ruang keluarga, Sarah menjawab, "Aku
nunggu Papa pulang. Sebab aku mau tanya berapa sih gaji Papa ?"

"Lho tumben, kok nanya gaji Papa ? Mau minta uang lagi, ya ?"

"Ah, enggak. Pengen tahu aja" ucap Sarah singkat.

"Oke. Kamu boleh hitung sendiri. Setiap hari Papa bekerja sekitar 10 jam
dan dibayar Rp. 400.000,-. Setiap bulan rata-rata dihitung 22 hari kerja.
Sabtu dan Minggu libur, kadang Sabtu Papa masih lembur. Jadi, gaji Papa

Ketika Andrew beranjak
menuju kamar untuk berganti pakaian, Sarah berlari mengikutinya. "Kalo
satu hari Papa dibayar Rp. 400.000,- untuk 10 jam, berarti satu jam Papa
digaji Rp.

40.000,- dong" katanya.

"Wah, pinter kamu. Sudah, sekarang cuci kaki, tidur" perintah Andrew

Tetapi Sarah tidak beranjak. Sambil menyaksikan Papanya berganti pakaian,
Sarah kembali bertanya, "Papa, aku boleh pinjam uang Rp. 5.000,- enggak ?"

"Sudah, nggak usah macam-macam lagi. Buat apa minta uang malam-malam
begini ? Papa capek. Dan mau mandi dulu. Tidurlah".

"Tapi Papa..."

Kesabaran Andrew pun habis. "Papa bilang tidur !" hardiknya mengejutkan
Sarah. Anak kecil itu pun berbalik menuju kamarnya.

Usai mandi, Andrew nampak menyesali hardiknya. Ia pun menengok Sarah di
kamar tidurnya. Anak kesayangannya itu belum tidur. Sarah didapati sedang

"Maafkan Papa, Nak, Papa sayang sama Sarah. Tapi buat apa sih minta uang
malam-malam begini ? Kalau mau beli mainan, besok kan bisa. Jangankan Rp.

"Papa, aku enggak minta uang. Aku hanya pinjam. Nanti aku kembalikan kalau

"lya, iya, tapi buat apa ?" tanya Andrew lembut.

"Aku menunggu Papa dari jam 8. Aku mau ajak Papa main ular tangga. Tiga
puluh menit aja. Mama sering bilang kalo waktu Papa itu sangat berharga.
Jadi, aku mau ganti waktu Papa. Aku buka tabunganku, hanya ada Rp.
15.000,- tapi karena Papa bilang satu jam Papa dibayar Rp. 40.000,- maka
setengah jam aku harus ganti Rp. 20.000,-. Tapi duit tabunganku kurang Rp.
5.000, makanya aku mau pinjam dari Papa" kata Sarah polos.

Andrew pun terdiam. ia kehilangan kata-kata. Dipeluknya bocah kecil itu
erat-erat dengan perasaan haru. Dia baru menyadari, ternyata limpahan
anaknya.

Why You Have Hair Loss as You Age

As you know, most of you at some point will start experiencing hair loss. There are some of you that became bald in your twenties or thirties. But most you, you will lose your hair gradually and then one day you will notice your hair thinning in one area. This occurs because as you age your health deteriorates.

Poor health and hair loss

There are quite a few areas that are related to hair loss. But in general they are all tied together in a fine puzzle. The major reason for hair loss that I discovered was poor health, both physical and psychological. When you are in poor health, you will exhibit numerous symptoms and one that becomes obvious is hair loss.

The extreme poor health condition is when people are subjected to chemotherapy. All of the body systems are poisoned creating massive poor health. All hair is lost.

Hair loss and the endocrine system

Hair loss relates to your body's endocrine system. It is these organs, thyroid, adrenal, thymus, and pancreas that control the function of your body's health by the hormones that they release. One hormone that controls hair loss and hair growth is testosterone.

Hair loss and testosterone

Testosterone is frequently converted to a substance call DHT by a specific enzyme. It is DHT that affects hair growth by disturbing your hair's follicle and destroying it. When the endocrine organs fail to control testosterone there is an excess, much of this excess is converted to DHT.

Women also have testosterone but this is balanced by the high level o estrogen that they have. But when the estrogen balance is upset, women will see hair loss because of more testosterone in their blood.

Diet and hair loss

The food you eat also determines how much testosterone is created in your body. It is important to eat a special type of natural diet to maintain healthy organs that can keep a hormonal balance in your body, so that you have good body health.

When you are not in the best of health and use various types of medication, your hormones are out of balance and your body is in need of nutritional help. It is the vitamins and minerals that help the body rebalance it self, but it is best that these nutrients come from raw food. This is why a colon and blood cleanse is important to do to give your body some help in providing nutrients and giving it a rest from processing heavy foods.

Stress and hair loss

Then there is stress. This is a real hair killer. Stress uses up a lot of your vitamins and minerals. Your body protects you from stress by releasing cortisone and by adjusting your hormone levels to an un-natural condition. Stress creates an imbalance in your hormones and now your hair loss increases and your health starts to deteriorate.

The one thing I realized as I researched why I experience hair loss 15 years ago is that if you seek to improve your health in a natural way, your health gets better and your hair loss stops and maybe you may even grow some hair back.

Do You Believe In The Herbal Hype?

In China, herbal method has been treated for along time. Nowadays, it's not strange if American use that treatment. There is a fast-growing interest among people today regarding alternative medicines and therapies. This interest includes the herbal remedies and dietary supplements market. In fact, it's a safe bet that many large supermarkets in your local area feature an aisle or two specifically for natural medicines alone. A quick browse through the World Wide Web about health problems and topics will reveal advertisements and articles about natural health products that claim to help consumers with everything from migraines to sexual deficiencies.

When they are used properly in combination with a patient's overall health regimen, these natural health products can be effective and safe. More and more people are observed to be taking an active part in taking care of their health, and this is a good thing. What makes it a problem, though, is the lack of information that patients sometimes have, especially when it comes to self-presciption medicines. With that in mind, it is valuable to know the following rules-of-thumb regarding botanicals and herbal remedies:

Don't immediately think that taking a natural medicine is safe for you. Alternative medicines from plants or herbs can also be dangerous when taken improperly. These natural medicines are usually needed to be taken in strong dosages, or at least strong enough to be effective. It's good to remember that they also have contra-indications, just like other medicines. Usually these contra-indications happen when abnormally large dosages are taken, or if the herb is taken over a prolonged amount of time.

Goji Berries are getting much acclaim lately for being health food products, usually marketed as either Himalayan goji or Tibetan goji. One source indicates that Goji Berries have been a mainstay of Traditional Chinese Medicine for around 1,900 years already. According to Chinese legend, Goji Berries were also used by Shen Nung who is believed to have been the First Emperor of China. Goji Berries are now considered a health food because research has shown that it has antioxidants and nutrients aplenty, which may explain why Goji Berries are also now classified as one of the superfruits. Demand for superfruits like Goji Berries is expected to reach the billion-dollar mark by year 2011.

The Goji Berries you may be familiar with are usually of an ellipsoidal shape and bright red, with each of the Goji Berries filled with up to sixty seeds. Goji Berries that are planted in countries in the Northern Hemisphere may ripen in the months of July, August, September and October.

Nowadays, Goji Berries are planted in commercial quantities in north central China (in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region) and in western China (in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.) The size of a typical plantation of Goji Berries can start at 100 acres and extend to up to 1000 acres in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Ningxia has been found to produce some of the top Goji Berries variety which are sometimes called the red diamonds commercial variety.

Jepang Luncurkan Satelit Komunikasi Internet Tercanggih

from : Cybermq.com

Tokyo - Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency - JAXA), Saturday, launched a rocket into space, carrying an experimental satellite "Kizuna," which is the most advanced experimental project to bring Internet communication network system is super fast.

Launch of domestically built rocket named H-2A was a success from the Japanese space launch center in the province of Kagoshima, after being postponed from the previous schedule on February 15 last, according to Kyodo Tokyo, Saturday.

Kizuna Japanese experts to design as an effort to bring wireless Internet communication system (wireless) super fast which is able to reach the Asia Pacific region. It was also in response to the difficulty of the Internet network infrastructure on the mainland.

Geographic condition of Japan is mountainous and rocky indeed quite difficult for the implementation of Internet networking infrastructure throughout the country that is being accelerated by the Japanese.

Japan finally chose to accelerate the development of Internet via satellite network system which does not use wires and the options as well as efforts to anticipate if a permanent communications systems experiencing severe interference.

The ability to transfer data through Kizuna pretty awesome, namely at 1.2 gigabits per second. One gigabit = one billion bits per second. With that capability, Japan is also able to accelerate the research development of new-generation broadcasting technology, namely "high-definition televisions," or so-called "HD-TV".

Internet data transfer rate for the Japanese public relatively quickly by using a fiber optic network data transfer speed of at least 100 megabits per second (Mbps).

The manufacturer claims that the Kizuna satellite communication system is the fastest in the world today. Another benefit of super-fast data transfer capacity that is capable of developing long-distance medical consultation services.

The satellite itself is the result of collaboration between JAXA and the National Institute of Information and Communication Technology. The total cost spent for the project to reach 52 billion yen, from research, the launch until the operation.

New Hope for Domain Parking

Eye Care

The eyes are the window to your soul and therefore need special care and attention especially so, with increasing pollution and levels of dust and grime. While we tend to look after our skin and hair and other parts of the body, we tend to relegate eye care to the background. There are several simple and easy solutions to all problems related to eye care from relaxation to dark circles and crow's feet. The following tips provide you complete treatment for your eyes.

All you need to do is to set aside few minutes everyday for eye care. It will benefit you in the long run. You can then possess healthy and beautiful eyes devoid of crow's feet and dark circles around the eyes.

The first and foremost in eye care is the diet. Make sure that your intake includes plenty of fruits and vegetables specially the yellow ones like carrots, mangoes, papaya etc. All these are rich in beta carotene which helps to have healthy eyes. Spinach is also good for the health of your eyes.

Rest is vital in the eye care routine. It will not only refresh the eyes but also improve their efficiency. Therefore take adequate rest. Regular exercise is mandatory to improve blood circulation. It will supply enough oxygen for the perfect functioning of the eyes.Simple everyday eye exercise like closing your eyes gently for 30 seconds to relax them in between your work, rotating your eyes often to relax muscles and moving your eyeballs from extreme left corner to the right corner is good for maintaining healthy eyes. To prevent blurred vision follow this simple exercise. Hold a pencil at arm's length and slowly bring it towards your nose, keeping eyes focused at all times

The skin around the eyes is very thin and full of blood vessels, which makes it sensitive to changes in the body especially those related to retention and distribution of water. In most cases puffiness in and around the eyes is often noticed upon waking up in the morning. Mild puffiness is usually only a temporary cosmetic concern. However if puffiness is severe or persistent and accompanied by swelling of the face or other parts, it may indicate other conditions like thyroid or kidney diseases and calls for immediate medical attention. Even though puffiness is accumulation of excess fluid, when the body gets dehydrated, it stores water as a defense mechanism, which contributes to further puffiness. Therefore, drinking adequate water is an important part of eye care. Drink at least a liter of water to avoid any kind of puffiness in the eyes. Drinking lots of water helps to flush out waste from the body.

Avoid excessive rubbing of your eyes as the irritation caused due to rubbing or touching will only cause more puffiness. Instead just blink your eyelids. Blinking is a good massage and exercise to the eyes.Milk is a good and safe natural cleanser. Clean your eyes using a clean cotton ball dipped in milk. Rose water drops gives a good glow to your eyes. Castor oil application is good for your eye lashes and eye brows. It keeps them dense and dark.

Protect your eyes from sunrays during the peak daytime by wearing sunglasses. The usual home remedies like cold water compress, cucumber slices, tea bags, application of egg whites and grated potatoes under the eyes for about 10 minutes are effective. It helps to avoid under eye wrinkles and dark circles around the eyes.

Even if you have no complaints it's important to see a doctor and have a routine eye check up. The above eye care tips will ensure that your pair of eyes remains healthy and beautiful for a very long time.

Bocah Pembeli Es Krim

Minggu siang di sebuah mal. Seorang bocah lelaki umur delapan tahun berjalan

"Mbak sundae cream harganya berapa?" si bocah bertanya.

"Lima ribu rupiah," yang ditanya menjawab.

Bocah itu kemudian merogoh recehan duit dari kantongnya. Ia menghitung
recehan di tangannya dengan teliti. Sementara si pramusaji menunggu
dengan raut muka tidak sabar. Maklum, banyak pembeli yang lebih "berduit"
ngantre di belakang pembeli ingusan itu.

"Kalau plain cream berapa?"

Dengan suara ketus setengah melecehkan, si pramusaji menjawab,
"Tiga ribu lima ratus".

Lagi-lagi si bocah menghitung recehannya, " Kalau begitu saya mau
sepiring plain cream saja, Mbak," kata si bocah sambil memberikan uang
sejumlah harga es yang diminta. Si pramusaji pun segera mengangsurkan
sepiring plain cream.

Beberapa waktu kemudian, si pramusaji membersihkan meja dan piring kotor
yang sudah ditinggalkan pembeli. Ketika mengangkat piring es krim bekas
dipakai bocah tadi, ia terperanjat.

Daily Health Tips

There is an Arabian proverb which says, he who has health has hope and he who has hope has it all. Contrary to the belief, living a healthy lifestyle is not complicated or time consuming.

Here are a few daily health tips to burn calories and stay fit while you work, play or even drive.

As you wake up sit up slowly. Do not use your hands. Straighten your legs and lean forward. You then feel a gentle stretch in your back and hamstrings. Hold; then using your abs, lower yourself flat. Rest and repeat a couple of times. This exercise strengthens the core.

This is a daily health tip which you can practice as you make your morning cup of coffee or tea. Stand sideways. Put one hand on your kitchen counter. Lift the outside leg straight out in front of you, keeping it extended. With your upper body straight, hold for a few seconds and move it to the side. Hold and extend it behind you. Repeat 5 to 10 times with each legs. This exercise tones up your outer thighs, hip flexors and quadriceps.

Use slim milk for your coffee and tea preparation. Opt for whole grain preparations and cereals rather than instant food. Have a protein heavy meal earlier in the day as you may eat less as the day progresses. Hard boiled egg is a good choice as it makes you feel full and you will not feel tempted to snack before lunch.

Every time you apply brake while driving, squeeze your derriere, holding it for 10 seconds. You will develop buns of steel.

Snack smart by grabbing an apple. It is packed with fiber and water. So the stomach will feel full and save you a few calories which you would otherwise gain by snacking on cookies.

Whenever you converse over the phone, stand up and pace around. Walk up to a colleague who is seated farthest from you and deliver the daily messages. Take the stairs whenever possible. Carry some weight when you go on grocery shopping or running errands.

Sit in your chair with your back straight and your feet on the floor, squeeze knees together and gently bring them toward your chest. Do it a couple of times. It will strengthen your abdominals.

Start with a clear soup for lunch or dinner. You fill feel fuller and subsequently eat less. After dinner, while still sitting at the table, extend your leg out; slowly bend it up and down. Squeeze and hold in the up position for at least 5 seconds. Repeat with the other leg. It sculpts the quadriceps.

Finally, before you tuck in, lie on your back on the floor with your legs up on the edge of the bed or chair. Slowly bend your knees, lifting your hips off the floor. Hold for five seconds, relax and repeat for a few times. It firms up hamstrings and core.

The above daily health tips will help you burn the calories throughout the day. You may not even realize it until you find yourself stronger, healthier, sharper, leaner, more energetic and feeling years younger in mind, body and spirit

Fun Games to Play With the Family

Many families today do not spend that much time together. Life seems to get in the way, and they end up going their separate ways and doing their own things. However, there are ways to bring the family closer, and one way is through the playing of games. With that in mind, however, it is important to find games that everyone can play, so that they can all have fun and enjoy what they are doing. Without the entire family being able to play, the people that are left out will be resentful and the goal of getting the entire family involved will be lost. Fortunately, there are many fun games available.

Some of the easiest ones to play are backyard games like horseshoes and beanbag toss. These are games that do not require a lot of set-up and preparation. In addition, they have simple rules and they are games that almost anyone of any age can play. Because of this, the entire family from very young children through to the elderly grandparents and even great-grandparents can play them. When games are available for such a large group of individuals, they can really help to keep families together. Sometimes, though, the weather is bad and games cannot be played outside. It may be too hot for everyone to enjoy it, or it may be raining or cold.

When outside games cannot be played, there are family games to play inside. Most people think of video and computer games, and those can be very enjoyable, but there are other games. Many people still like board games, and putting together a puzzle can be a fun family activity, as can doing an art project, making a scrapbook, or looking at family photos. For those that want a different kind of indoor game, though, there are many options that people used to play such as hide-and-seek or sardines. Searching the Internet for these kinds of games can provide parents with a list of many fun activities that the entire family can enjoy.
